Bloomberg: Hulu coming to PlayStation network ’soon’
Posted on June 24, 2010 | No CommentsIt was just two weeks ago in the runup to E3 that Reuters spread rumors of Hulu coming to the Xbox 360 and the iPad as some sort of paid service, and now Bloomberg is adding to the chatter, saying that everyone's favorite video service is also in talks to become part of Sony's Playstation Network and appear on the PS3 "soon." As with the previous rumors, Hulu on PS3 is said to be a paid service, but nothing's actually confirmed yet. So is Hulu playing Microsoft, Sony and Apple against each other in a bid to collect the biggest exclusivity fee possible, or are we about to see an aggressive Netflix-style multiplatform rollout? We'll see.Bloomberg: Hulu coming to PlayStation network 'soon' originally appeared on Engadget on Thu, 24 Jun 2010 22:17:00 EST. Please see our terms for use of feeds.

PlayStation 3 in 3D impressions: almost, but not quite
Posted on June 16, 2010 | No CommentsThere are plenty of opinions to be had on 3D, and while many of the staff at Engadget could take it or leave it, this particular writer is a pretty firm fan of the concept. Follow after the break as we walk through some of our experiences with the PlayStation 3 in 3D and see if it can measure up to our hopes and dreams for a world with one extra dimension.Continue reading PlayStation 3 in 3D impressions: almost, but not quite

Engadget HD Podcast 198 – 06.15.2010
Posted on June 15, 2010 | No Comments
The start of World Cup 2010 and launch of ESPN 3D gave us plenty to talk about, and that's before we got to Sony's 3DTV and Blu-ray 3D announcements, the 152-inch plasma shipping this fall from Panasonic, and ITV HD ruining the big game for an entire nation. there's plenty of sadness to go around however, with Boxee delays, DirecTV glitches and TiVo / DISH squabbling. Microsoft's new Xbox 360, along with ESPN3 access and an upgraded Netflix interface gave us plenty to talk about -- we'll see if it's actually whisper quiet. We wrap things up with the new TiVo remote and this week's Ask Engadget HD, HDTV or projector?
