Blu-ray releases on June 22nd 2010
Posted on June 21, 2010 | No Comments
This is a very odd week for us because while there are a number of day and date titles none that we can say we've heard of, except the super terrible Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lighting Theft. As far as we can tell the beset is Matt Damon's Green Zone, but even that isn't something we feel the urge to buy and instead will wait another 30 days to watch it via Netflix. There are a few for the fairer sex this week as well, like The Last Station and Remember Me.- Green Zone (Universal)
- The Last Station (Sony)
- Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief (Fox)
- Remember Me (Summit)
- She's Out of My League (DreamWorks)
- A Star is Born (Warner)
- Close-Up (Criterion)
- Death Race 2000 (Shout! Factory)
- Red Desert (Criterion)
- Riverworld (Vivendi)

AT&T considering cutting its spending on U-Verse?
Posted on June 16, 2010 | No CommentsAT&T could be ready to join Verizon in pulling back spending on its TV business, as the Wall Street Journal reports CEO Randall Stephenson said the company would have to "re-evaluate whether we put shovels in the ground" in the face of new regulation on broadband internet providers. Current targets see U-Verse increasing its service area from the current 24 million homes to 30 million in 2011, but that's now at risk. Beyond just digging ditches and installing new boxes to bring services to different neighborhoods we'd like to see further expansion on features (Xbox 360, c'mon AT&T, especially with the new model) while some have complained about still being restricted to only one HD channel at a time in some areas and of course, there's value in competition for local cable providers.AT&T considering cutting its spending on U-Verse? originally appeared on Engadget HD on Wed, 16 Jun 2010 16:07:00 EST.
