A pair of announcements from DuPont should put wind in the sails of all those still waiting for the OLED HDTV of their dreams. First up is word that with its Gen 3 solution materials, able to print HDTV-sized displays that can to stand the test of time have advanced from the lab to a “scalable manufacturing process” and added on another claim that new printing processes can create a 50-inch television in less than two minutes. there’s no word that any display manufacturers have licensed DuPont’s tech yet, but we figure OLED fans are used to being patient.
