Engadget HD Podcast 198 – 06.15.2010
Posted on June 15, 2010 | No Comments
The start of World Cup 2010 and launch of ESPN 3D gave us plenty to talk about, and that's before we got to Sony's 3DTV and Blu-ray 3D announcements, the 152-inch plasma shipping this fall from Panasonic, and ITV HD ruining the big game for an entire nation. there's plenty of sadness to go around however, with Boxee delays, DirecTV glitches and TiVo / DISH squabbling. Microsoft's new Xbox 360, along with ESPN3 access and an upgraded Netflix interface gave us plenty to talk about -- we'll see if it's actually whisper quiet. We wrap things up with the new TiVo remote and this week's Ask Engadget HD, HDTV or projector?

Engadget HD Podcast 197 – 06.8.2010
Posted on June 8, 2010 | No Comments
Say hello to the most special of guests this week -- our own Steve Kim! That's right, with a full complement of EHD podcasters we kick things off with plenty of Apple talk, including the other Steve's comments on set-top boxes, and the debut of the iPhone 4. After that we take a look at Redbox's Blu-ray rates and what's going on with the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Amazon Gold Box deals on HD stuff this week are reason to be excited -- or afraid, before we close things out with the Sonic/DivX acquisition, this week's Ask Engadget HD and the latest promo from DirecTV and DISH Network.

Engadget HD Podcast 196 – 06.2.2010
Posted on June 2, 2010 | No Comments
No guests this week, but plenty of HD topics like our favorite HD sources, Apple's latest play in the living room, and Summer HD programming. We of course talk a little 3D including DirecTV's 3D preparations and ESPN 3D's expectations. TiVo seems to be the company we love to hate so we scratch our head trying to think of why Best Buy would want a TiVo interface on a TV and not a DVR. Finally we talk a little HD 101 and overscan and what might happen to our TVs if congress changes the telecom laws.
